Express Red, White & Blue Salute

Around this time of year (Independence Day and all that), it's good to recognize all that those in sevice to our country do for us slacker civilians. In association with Budweiser and the Folds of Honor Foundation, the Round Rock Express will be saluting veterans and all branches of the military from Thursday, June 28, through Tuesday, July 3, as they face the Nashville Sounds and the New Orleans Zephyrs at the Dell Diamond. The Folds of Honor Foundation "gives back to the spouses and children of servicemen or women killed or disabled in service" and local Bud purveyor Brown Distributing Company has set a goal of raising $50,000 this year for Central Texas military families. For every Express homer hit during the 2012 season, Brown will donate $50 to FoH. Between June 27-30, fans can take part in pregame tailgate parties in front of the Dell, with games, a free photo booth, and FoH merch. On Friday, June 29, the Express will be holding their first-ever flip-card salute with 7,000 cards being distributed to fans to spell out "Folds of Honor." You may not support the war(s), but you have to support the troops.
