Texas Stars Pucks & Paws & More

What the puck? You can bring your dog to the game!

By Mark Fagan, March 30, 2012, Sports

If you're a dog lover/owner like me, you try to include your little buddy in on as much fun as possible. But have you ever taken your best friend to a hockey game? Last year's Texas Stars Pucks & Paws game was a huge success, so it's back again this Sunday, April 1, 5pm at the CPC. For $5 per dog and $10 per person you will be seated in a special section with access to water and relief stations and your pup will have 100 or so other dogs to make new friends with (see their website for full details). If that's not cool enough on its own, the first 2,500 fans through the gate on Sunday receive a free Stars bandana. Thursday's game is 3-2-1 night with $3 beers, $2 sodas, and $1 hot dogs and on Saturday the Stars will hand out 2,500 free Stars commemorative pucks.

Vs. Hamilton: Thu., March 29, 7:30pm. Vs. Lake Erie: Sat., March 31, 7pm; Sun., April 1, 5pm. Cedar Park Center, 2100 Avenue of the Stars, Cedar Park, 512/600-5000. $10-70. www.texasstarshockey.com.
