Video Game Gift Battles

Which of the season's blockbusters will earn your dollars?

RPGs (aka Do I have to catch 'em all?)

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Wii U ($60)

Yo-Kai Watch

Nintendo 3DS ($40)

Two new role-playing games take to different Nintendo platforms. The latest Xenoblade offers majestic vistas and towering enemies, but makes players wait excruciating hours to fly one of the massive robotic helpers. That's downright unforgivable. Yo-Kai Watch takes to the smaller 3DS and is geared to smaller kids looking for a new, catch-'em-all game that doesn't involve a lightning-charged varmint.

Winner: Yo-Kai Watch

This Pokemon imitator has more charm and laughs than it has any right to.
