On a weekend of motorsports, what could be more natural than watching movies about cars in their natural habitat – the drive-in? The Alamo Drafthouse revved up their Road Rage series last week at Spiderwood Studios with 1985 Texas trip The Legend of Billie Jean, and continues into December with more high-octane blasters. This weekend, Nic Cage revs his '65 Thunderbird Convertible across a world that's Wild at Heart. If the wind blowing through your screen isn't enough, the night is catered by Franklin Barbecue – famous for its peerless brisket and hourlong lines. If the more traditional drive-in experience, complete with boxed candy and car window speakers, is more your speed, then check out the Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In's weekend series Formula One Nights at the Drive-In.
