We'll be bumping our regular print coverage next week for our annual "Best of Austin" issue, but that doesn't mean we'll be closing up shop. Check out Film Listings next week for our picks for the Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival, which starts Sept. 7, and go online at austinchronicle.com/screens to hear what Robert Rodriguez has to say on the subject of Machete finally thwacking its way to theatres on Sept. 3, having taken the scenic route through Grindhouse's fun house of faux trailers. And, as always, visit the Picture in Picture blog (austinchronicle.com/pip) for all the latest news, including an early look at Fantastic Fest's Buried treasure and our misty-eyed memories of Dobie Theatre (see photo, right), which officially closed its doors on Sunday after more than three decades in operation. It will be missed.
