Loose lips were flapping last week after Mayor Will Wynn's inaugural bash at La Zona Rosa, when word got out that Amy Rudy -- wife of Endeavor Real Estate Group principal Kirk Rudy, of the Domain and Wal-Mart fame -- shared some toasty words with Council Member Daryl Slusher. The story goes like this: Apparently upset that Slusher voted against awarding at least $37 million in tax rebates to the Domain, Rudy approached Slusher and whispered in his ear, "Don't fuck with my husband."

A startled Slusher asked Rudy to repeat the statement; she obliged. When Slusher asked Rudy what she was "threatening" to do, she turned and walked away.

Slusher confirms that the encounter happened and says he was "amazed" by the tone of the exchange. Meanwhile, Kirk Rudy says he's amused by the story -- and the fact that Slusher has shared it with friends. "If he needs some advice on how to get out of the doghouse, I'm an expert," Rudy said, adding that he likes to help someone in need when he can. "Amy loves roses ... and she's out of Pilates classes. He could score some points there" -- perhaps by buying Ms. Rudy a new installment of sessions.

"He's scared of her," Rudy chuckled. "God, I know how he feels."
