A quintet born from and destined for the graveyard shift at KVRX, Reverse X-Rays' RXR offers oddball ear candy with jazz sensibilities, sci-fi vocals, and spastic trombone grooves. Highlight "To the Stars Through Difficulty" squiggles between early New Wave and surf-pop, like the Notekillers with a sense of humor. The B-side of the marbled EP boasts additional live and archival recordings; 3-D specs included.
