Soft Healer

"Gentle One" b/w "Movie Light" (Captured Tracks)

The myth: Soft Healer started as a local Suicide cover band. Singer/bassist Marie Butcher and guitarist Will Slack have added a real drummer and keyboardist/saxophonist since then, but "Gentle One" shows they've channeled New Wave influence into something unique, and "Movie Light" is a great pop-sax love song. An upcoming Monofonus 10-inch promises more jammy bliss. ***.5
