A far cry from Marshall's Lucky Strikes, Before the Fadeaway collects orchestrated guitar pop in the vein of Badly Drawn Boy and Sondre Lerche. Boasting collaborators like Trish and Darin Murphy, Kevin Lovejoy, and Erik Wofford, Marshall's sophomore LP lacks only that certain something that makes an album stand out from the pack.
