Austin record labels, part 2

Welcome to part two of the Chronicle's look at local record labels and the individuals who make them tick. (Check out part one.) As we intimated last week, ours was not a completist endeavor; important, tenacious, and in some cases, long-running local imprints big (TMG/Antone's) and small (Heart Music) have not been profiled. Instead, we've focused on a newer generation of indies whose work of late has been a catalyst for Red River's live music renaissance. The Chronicle's last overview of local labels appeared more than five years ago. The next one won't take quite as long.
