Austin Aqua Festival

Despite the ebb and flow of its yearly attendance figures (and profit margin), Austin's Aqua Festival is still afloat, and celebrates year 34 with a bevy of local and regional acts spread over eight stages and nine nights (Monday 31 is an off night) at Auditorium Shores. Activities start at 6:30pm each night, ending at 11:30pm on weekdays, and at 12:30am on weekends. Admission is $4 nightly, $2 with a Skipper Pin or student ID, and children under 12 are free. Parking is $5 at Auditorium Shores, but free at Barton Creek Square Mall, Austin High School, and the State parking lots at 14th and San Jacinto, where Capitol Metro buses will provide free service to and from the festival. For more info, pick up a free Aqua Fest Brochure, which are currently all over town (especially in stores on Guadalupe). Below is a list of bands and times, so start the outboard, aim the rudder, and shove off into the waters of Aqua Fest. THURSDAY 27
