THE INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC CIRCLE OF AUSTIN will present an evening of Carnatic (South Indian) classical violin by the famed trio T.N. Krishnan, Sriram, and Viji Krishnan-Natarajan. The trio will be accompanied by B. Harikumar on the mridangam and V. Gopalakrisnan on the ghatam. The concert will be held at the Bates Recital Hall on the UT campus. MEISENBACH & GOLDEN, a flute/harp duo, will perform a benefit concert at the Sri Atmananda Memorial School, 4100 Red River. The duo will present an eclectic and elegant program, highlighting Mozart's Concerto in C major of Flute and Harp, as well as works by Charles Rochester Young, Jean Phillipe Rameau, Debussy, Benjamin Godard, Bach, and more. $8 adults, $5 seniors and students. THE ARMONICO CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES will feature "Preludes and Cream," an evening of works by Rorem, Reger, and Ravel as well as yummy ice cream sundaes from Amy's Ice Cream, held at the First Unitarian Church, 4700 Grover. CELEBRATING ITS FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY, Westminster Presbyterian Church launches the second season of their afternoon music series with a program titled "Organ Music of Three Centuries." The concert features church organist Patrick McCreless performing works by J.S. Bach, Franck, Elgar, and William Mathias at the church's Theological Seminary Chapel, 100 E. 27th. Admission is free. THE TAKACS QUARTET, one of the world's foremost string quartets, will perform in Bates Hall on the UT campus. Known for their passionate central-European style, the quartet will perform works by Haydn, Bartok, and Beethoven. Tickets are $23.50. Fri, Sept 19, 8pm. 477-6060.
