 To hear the pundits tell it, live music is dead. Well, we have 32 pages to attest to the flaccidity of that assertion. Tell the 1,000+ bands in this register that live music is dead. Tell their legions of fans -- whether a cozy gathering of 12 at a local coffeehouse to hear the sweet warblings of some young, up-and-coming singer-songwriter or a crowd of 700+ packing Liberty Lunch to check out local faves fresh off the road -- that live music is dead. Tell us about it. We've just compiled an unprecedented number of entries in this year's Musicians Register.
