WE HAVE AN OLD SAYING ... usually posed as a question: "Are you single? Or are you single for South by?" The Gay Place's version of this, of course, is: "Are you gay? Or are you gay for South by?" And by that we don't mean, "Are you really, really, really into SXSW?"; we mean, "Are you making the best of your time in Austin exploring more than just panels or films or new bands?" Meh. We've heard worse pick-up lines. Speaking of which, be sure to pick up our special SXSW edition of the gAyTX Events Guide – it's all over town. It's pink. It has a unicorn on it. The guide is also available online, as are more listings just like the ones you see on this here page. Also, feel free to stay in touch. We'd love to hear from you. gayplace@austinchronicle.com. austinchronicle.com/gay.
