SXSW Eco announces 2013 season

In the Bag

Talk about impeccable timing. With Austin’s single-use bag ban going into effect today, there’s no time like the present to start thinking about a more sustainable future. With today’s launch of the SXSW Eco 2013 season, organizers are already asking “what’s next?”

At least some of what’s next is already here. Along with today's launch came news of two innovations -- a brand spanking new website and an easy-to-use panel selection application. The conference also announced new digs at the Austin Convention Center.

For those who can't wait until October, SXSW Eco is offering a variety of ways to participate before the big event. In the upcoming weeks, SXSW Eco will be be around town for South by Southwest, participating in film screenings, a meet up, and a music showcase. The official launch party with Geostellar is scheduled on the March 9th.

In the upcoming months, SXSW Eco will be putting on events throughout the country to share inspiration and methodology. Ideas for 2013 panels can be submitted immediately on the PanelPicker.
