If you felt the initial lineup for the second Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival was a tad heavy on the "y" chromosomes, today's announcement ought to cheer you up a bit. Eight new comics have been added to the schedule – all of them women.

You can now look forward to appearances by Chelsea Lately writer and co-host of Your Mom's House podcast Christina Pazsitzky, former Late Night With Jimmy Fallon writer and current 2 Broke Girls writer Morgan Murphy, The Big Gay Sketch Show alumna and Julie & Brandy in Your Box Office co-star Julie Goldman, Last Comic Standing competitor Jessica Kirson, Setup Squad wing-woman and Count It Down host Helen Hong; co-host of the Baby Geniuses podcast Emily Heller; co-host of the Homeo and Juliet podcast Mary Patterson; and all the way from Austin, standout standup and No Shame Theatre host Kerri Lendo. These join 55 previously announced comedians, including headliners Dana Carvey, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Hader, Bill Burr, Jim Norton, and Amy Schumer. For the full lineup to date, visit the Moontower website.

By the way, if you're waiting to purchase your Moontower badge, be advised that they're selling like margaritas at a hot sauce festival. The VIP-level badges, which provide priority access to shows, as well as free admission to all midnight shows, 20 drink tickets, and access to all festival parties mixers, and lounges, are down to the last two dozen, and the new ACE-level badges, which offer access to all non-single-ticketed shows, plus entry to four headliner shows of your choice at the Paramount, have just 48 remaining. For more information and to purchase badges, visit www.moontowercomedyfestival.com.
