Bernadette's Reopens With Lizzy Caroloke
The ax has been put away for now, as the queer dive bar gives it another go

A few weeks ago, we reported the demise of beloved Eastside dive bar Bernadette's closing her doors for good. Well, it seems the notice of her expiring was, like so many teeny greasy, bloody babies, premature.
Bernadette's Bar reopens Wednesday, January 9, 6pm-midnight with Lizzy Caroloke beginning at 9pm.
What we know is that bar manager Cody Boone has worked out a situation with the owner to keep the bar going "'til further notice," with its previous schedule of Sunday-Friday, 6pm-midnight and Saturdays, 6pm-1am.
Band bookings and DJ nights are in the works. Stay tuned and be sure to check the Gay Place listings regularly.
There is even talk of the bar getting an actual sign.
Whoa.
