Caritas of Austin Needs Your Votes
Local non-profit in the running for enhanced grant funding
By Virginia B. Wood, 2:00PM, Thu. Dec. 27, 2012
Caritas is an Austin non-profit that provides meals and services to Austin's homeless and refugee communities. They have recently earned a $10,000 Hyatt Community Grant and could use some love on Facebook to help them double the money.
Based on their collaboration with Hyatt Place Austin- North Central, Caritas earned the grant through a corporate responsibility program known as Hyatt Thrive. From now through midnight December 31st, Hyatt is asking the Facebook community to vote on which of the 2012 Hyatt Community Grant recipients should receive additional funding, up to another $10,000, from the program. Find Caritas on Facebook here and vote for them to receive additional funding through Facebook's Vote. Give. Thrive. app here
