Crosswalk Meeting Tonight

Tonight is the last step in the rainbow crosswalk approval process

The proposed design configured by Austin Transportation Department and Austin Pride.
This is what some local businesses are complaining about?

Austin Pride is putting the call out to invite supporters to come speak or just show up tonight on behalf of their efforts to beautify the Warehouse District with some rainbow luv.

The City of Austin's Cultural Arts Division will host the meeting at 5:30pm, today, Monday, November 10 at 201 E. Second Street. Free parking is available at the Convention Center lot. Just be sure to get your stub validated at the meeting.

Austin Pride president Paul Huddleston will give a brief presentation, after which the public is invited to speak. Anyone can comment and each is allowed up to three minutes.

For some backstory: The Gay Place's David Estlund first wrote about the crosswalks back in September, then provided a few updates to the story, including news of city council's endorsement.

See you there?
