Austin's newest custom cocktail lounge, the Pleasant Storage Room (208 W. Fourth), opens Friday, April 11, in the former home of the Stacked Burger Bar, at the same street address as Peche and Cedar Street Courtyard.
The interior and overall concept are inspired by the popular bars of pre-revolutionary Havana, Cuba, and will prominently feature rum-based drinks, according to the press release.
"We wanted a bar-first concept that focused on the resurgence of rum in craft cocktails," explained head barman Alfonso Hernandez. "Austin is ready for a dynamic cocktail bar where they can feel comfortable talking to the bartender and exploring rum as the basis for their drink."
Look for a full bar with a limited food menu this weekend.
