Austin-based podcast The Beerists has won its second national Podcast Award. No small feat, the weekly craft beer podcast beat out NPR’s The Splendid Table for the second time in two years as well as Nerdist’s Dining with Doug and Karen in the Best Food/Drink Podcast category.
Launched in May 2012 and geared toward both the beer aficionado and novice, The Beerists podcast features loosely themed episodes centered on beer styles, regions, breweries, and taste challenges. Fast approaching its 100th episode and punctuated by more than 70,000 downloads per month, the Beerists is independent and self-funded. Owned by John Rubio, The Beerists cast includes Anastacia Kelly, Grant Davis, Mike Lambert, with a rotating list of guests.
Catch new episodes every Friday afternoon at thebeerists.com, iTunes, and Stitcher.
