Austin Humane Society waives adoption fees

The Austin Humane Society and Austin Pets Alive! came to the rescue of the Austin Animal Center this week, after news dropped that the city shelter was bursting at the seams and may have to euthanize a contingent of four-legged friends.
Now, the Austin Humane Society is hoping you'll find it in your heart to adopt one of the furry friends in their care.
To sweeten the pot, through Sunday, May 20, the AHS will waive all adoption fees for anyone who wants to adopt a cat or dog over one year old. That "free" price includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, a bag of food and a month of pet insurance. Now that's a deal.
Look, everyone loves a kitten or a puppy, but older animals need love too. So, check out the friends ready for adoption and head over to the AHS shelter today.
