Local Elections Today
When early voting closed on May 8, only 4.87% of registered voters in Travis County had turned out, so there are a lot of you left who still need to cast your ballots in the races for mayor and council in Austin.
The polls are open until 7pm and we'll be live blogging the results all night, including reports from the candidates' watch parties.
But the ATX is not the only place in Travis County heading to the ballot box today: Remind all your friends in the cities of Lakeway, Manor, Mustang Ridge, Rollingwood, Sunset Valley, and Westlake Hills, plus the villages of Briarcliff and Webberville, that they have general and special elections today.
On top of that, there is also a bond election in Rollingwood, two open slots on the Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees, a sales tax election in Travis County Emergency Services District Number 12, plus directors elections in Anderson Mill Limited District, Lakeway Municipal Utility District, Ranch at Cypress Creek MUD number one, and Travis County WCID 17,
You can find a full list of all voting locations here. Don't forget, this isn't like early voting: You have to vote in your home precinct.
