In Thomas Mallon's new nonfiction book, the strangest figure in the JFK assassination is the most honest one.

Ruth Paine = CIA by guest | hide/show
Ruth Paine and her husband fit the profile for agents, ESPECIALLY due to:

1. her religion- strong religious commitment is always of value to intel agencies since it allows better checking of background AND shows a moral axis able to be exploited

2. her husband working for Dornberger the NAZI head of Bell choppers

3. her desire to learn Russian? What The Hell? Gloss over the facts much?

4. the total hatchet job this "honest" woman did on the Oswalds.

The Paines were the handlers for the Oswalds. Clearly.

As with all whitewashes in the JFK case, the way the apologists go is to quote... but very very selectively.

People: just read all the testimony. No speculation necessary. Just take some common sense until the confusion goes away.

You must be registered to comment. What's the upside?
Here are some ways to look at the bright side of this: 1) you can use a witty screen name that has nothing to do with your real name (as long as no one else has been witty in that exact way before you), 2) you will have to do this only once, and 3) because everyone must register, you'll be able to keep up with your virtual friends and nemeses.  close
