Mobility and You

 Sat Feb 6, 11:44am

Which of our 1200 needed transportation projects should the city tackle and fund first? Which should be in a November bond referendum package? All this week, Feb. 8-11, Austinites can help set priorities at "fun and interactive" Mobility Forums (four evening, one morning, plus refreshments!)

From city press release:
The goal of the Austin Mobility Forum is to make it easier to move around our city. From roads to rail to buses, bicycles, and sidewalks, our transportation system can provide us all with better options and a better quality of life.

The City has collected more than 1,200 needed transportation projects from citizens to date. This is more than we can pay for at once. We need your help to determine the community values and priorities for Austin's mobility system.

Please attend an Austin Mobility Forum on any date from February 8th - February 11th. Times and locations are listed below.

For more information about the forums, please contact Lindsey Reed by phone at (512) 477-1018 or e-mail us at transportation@ci.austin.tx.us.

Everyone is welcome, and every opinion matters. Refreshments are provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

And of course there's no way for people with jobs and family obligations to enter this information online. But who better qualified to run our city than marginally employed architects and the idle rich, anyways?
