Beta Valentine

"Gold" (Has Anyone Ever Told You?)

We miss the old Sonic Youth. So does local threepiece Beta Valentine, which splays Kim and Thurston all over second release "Gold." With quasi-experimental thrashers like "The Devils Dancing on My Disease," "Little Black Box," and (ahem) "Fingerbanged by God," Beta teaches heavy, throbbing spaz that only Albini knew before. Let's work on those song titles though.
