"Who wouldn't want to take home any of these bands?" asks Room 710's Woody Weideman. The bands in question are the Spiders, Pong, and the eight others listed on the poster. Admittedly, even their most ardent fans are probably pleased to find that what they'll be taking home is a CD of those artists and 17 more local 710 faves. This Friday and Saturday are the first of two sets of shows designed to raise money to issue the Independence CD, which should be available by the second set of shows on March 2, which is in fact Texas Independence Day. Of course, you could actually take a member of Squat Thrust home -- but where would you keep it?
