Party Monster: The Shockumentary

Year Released: 1998
Directed By: Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato
(NR, 60 min.)

Five years before they made their feature film about club promoter Michael Alig, Bailey and Barbato made this hourlong documentary based on the bestselling Disco Bloodbath by fellow club kid James St. James. It traces Alig's life from childhood to his career as a club promoter in Manhattan in the 1990s and his arrest and conviction for manslaughter. James St. James will be in attendance and sign copies of his book Party Monster: The Shockumentary (the renamed Disco Bloodbath).
