OOPS!

Fri., May 18

A longtime out of state subscriber called about the May 4 "Playback" column – specifically the "Immaculate Psych" Fest item – to say he didn't see a Rickenbacker guitar in the picture of the Black Lips as the caption implied, but rather a Höfner bass. Mr. Stone is correct and our Music editor erroneous. Further, in last week's Father John Misty record review of Fear Fun, an editing error stated that Josh Tillman was a "onetime Austinite." While he may have couch-surfed here in cutting three LPs for local imprint Western Vinyl, he was never a local resident. The Chronicle regrets both errors.
