• SoCo business stalwarts Liz Lambert, Steve Wert­heimer, and chef Larry McGuire host an evening of music, education, and food in support of the Greater New Orleans Foundation Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund (www.gnof.org) and the Gulf Restoration Network (www.healthygulf.org) in the parking lot at the Hotel San José (1316 S. Congress). An optional $10 donation at the gate entitles guests to enjoy live music and educational presentations; another $10 buys a shrimp and crawfish boil dinner prepared by Perla's. • The nine Hill Country wineries along the Wine Road 290 (www.wineroad290.com) between Johnson City and Fredericksburg team with area restaurants to present Chili and Chillin' – tastings of chili and wine at each location. Saturday, July 24, 10am-6pm.
