• SoCo business stalwarts Liz Lambert, Steve Wert­heimer, and chef Larry McGuire host an evening of music, education, and food in support of the Greater New Orleans Foundation Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund (www.gnof.org) and the Gulf Restoration Network (www.healthygulf.org) in the parking lot at the Hotel San José (1316 S. Congress). An optional $10 donation at the gate entitles guests to enjoy live music and educational presentations; another $10 buys a shrimp and crawfish boil dinner prepared by Perla's. Friday, July 23, 6-10pm.

• The nine Hill Country wineries along the Wine Road 290 (www.wineroad290.com) between Johnson City and Fredericksburg team with area restaurants to present Chili and Chillin' – tastings of chili and wine at each location. Saturday, July 24, 10am-6pm.

Jack Allen's Kitchen (7720 Hwy. 71 W., 852-8558, www.jackallenskitchen.com) hosts a four-course Gulf seafood dinner to benefit the Coastal Conser­va­tion Association. Festivities include live music on the patio and a silent auction. $50 per person; reservations necessary. Monday, July 26, 5-10pm

Fogo de Chão (309 E. Third, 472-0220) invites guests to UnWind Wednesdays; guests will be offered selected complimentary bottles of Chile's Casa Lapostolle wine with the purchase of two adult lunches or dinners. Wednesdays, July 28 through Sept. 29.
