Austin is witnessing a flat-out support of entitled authorities to allow a cop to murder, such as now with Ken Casaday, president of the Austin Police Association, who wants Geoffrey Freeman to continue roaming Austin's streets with his badge after murdering one naked teen [“No Prosecution for APD Officer,” News, May 20].
The cop school abusive focus in teaching being on the defensive reaches the point where a cop can go to the extreme of murdering people. We are all under threat of cops, they are trained this way and above all protected by the very government.
The Austin Chronicle editorial page would do great to tell us where to complain. Our City Council main effort seems to be making their own salaries out of pockets.
