Dear Editor, Major decisions regarding light rail in Austin will be made this year by city government. There seems to be an infatuation with Mueller, and for installing the first phase of light rail between Downtown and that subdivision. The numbers and the history do not point to Mueller as being the right choice. It would be wonderful if the Chronicle could get serious about covering this issue – as you were in 1999 – and help our city make a more informed decision before it's too late. I say "too late" because I believe a Mueller bond proposal would fail miserably at the polls.
