The Texas Rollergirls' Hotrod Honeys Remain Undefeated

Our local Texas Rollergirls were nice enough to invite the HaRD Knocks Roller Derby squad from Houston to our fair city this past Sunday but then were not so nice in making them face the hottest Roller Derby team in the world, the Hotrod Honeys. The Honeys are fresh off wins over the Hustlers and the Honky Tonk Heartbreakers and were more than ready for the visiting roller gals from the City of Syrup. The HaRD Knocks kept it respectable in the first half, falling behind 68-50, but then the HRHs broke loose in the second half and skated to a comfortable 133-97 victory.
The second bout of the evening featured the Hell Marys and the Honky Tonk Heartbreakers. The Heartbreakers young squad has been struggling against fellow Texas Rollergirls talent, and Sunday night was no exception. Leading 49-16 at halftime, the Hell Marys easily lassoed the HTHs with a final score of 97-31. The Heartbreakers get the next bout off to regroup and heal their wounds. Speaking of the next bout – Sunday, June 3, at the Playland Skate Center – the Texas Rollergirls continue the tradition of inviting neighboring Roller Derby teams, with this one featuring the Special Ops team from the Assassination City Derby of Dallas vs. our own Hustlers and the Hell Marys attempting to fall the mighty Hotrod Honeys.
