Wanna See the Season 3 Premiere of Industry Early? Better Get Yourself to ATX TV Festival.

It’s been 18 extremely long months since the symphonically fucked up baby investment bankers of Industry have been on our airwaves. I bear good news: They’re back, and Austin’s getting first crack at ’em.
That’s right: The upcoming ATX TV Festival will debut the addictive, bleakly comic drama's season 3 premiere. (No word yet on when it’s arriving on HBO, so this is definitely the early-bird special.) Additionally, the fest will play host to a sit-down conversation with creators/EPs Mickey Down and Konrad Kay and Industry star Myha’la Herrold, whose Harper ended season two at a real low but will almost certainly rally to cross paths with season three cast addition Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones)..
The other big title hyped in this morning’s announcement is the world premiere of Fantasmas, the new HBO show from Los Espookys’ darling Julio Torres. The writer/director/star – whose feature film directorial debut Problemista is in theatres now (read the Chronicle’s recent interview) – will be in attendance. According to press materials, the surreal-sounding comedy is about when Torres “lost a golden oyster. The people he encounters as he searches for it and the musings he has along the way become points of departure for little films, as Torres navigates weaving in and out of these introspective, often eerie comedic stories.”
Other additions:
• Not on HBO, but HBO-adjacent, Max show Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, the follow-up to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, will screen, followed by a Q&A (participating talent still to be announced)
• A screening of Fargo season five, episode one (the Juno Temple/Jon Hamm season), followed by a conversation with show creator Noah Hawley
• A conversation with Mark Duplass and Mel Eslyn about their independent TV projects at Duplass Brother Productions
• A craft-focused panel about building the immersive worlds of For All Mankind, Twisted Metal, The Wheel of Time, Justified: City Primeval, and Gen V.
• A Girls5eva karaoke night with creator/executive producer Meredith Scardino
• A screening of the premiere episode of new MGM+ crime thriller Hotel Cocaine, about a hotel manager at the epicenter of Miami’s cocaine trade in the 70s and 80s, followed by a conversation with creator/EP Chris Brancato and cast members Danny Pino (Mayans M.C.) and Mark Feuerstein (Royal Pains)
These join previously announced programming that includes a Breakthrough Award for Reservation Dogs star Devery Jacobs, reunion events for Suits and Halt and Catch Fire, and a live show of pop culture podcast Trial by Content with hosts Joanna Robinson, Dave Gonzales, and Austin’s Neil Miller.
