Alamo Announces Ultimate Movie Party Winner
And the party goes to…

At the beginning of the year, the Alamo Drafthouse launched its Ultimate Movie Party contest: Dream up a party, complete with film, food, drinks, props and more, and Drafthouse might make it happen. And now, it's happening.
A panel of judges picked five finalists per city – in Austin's case, from 258 submissions – and then Alamo patrons voted on the best. As the grand prize, the Drafthouse is making one person's dream a reality, for free, for them and 50 of their closest friends.
Drumroll, please…
Congratulations to David H., whose Tampopo party will be coming to the Drafthouse complete with sake and noodles from the newest ramen joint in town, Daruma.
Tampopo, the original "Ramen Western," is one of the great food movies of our time. The 1985 film is a Japanese comedy about a family-run noodle shop, and it's entwined with vignettes about food. We're getting hungry just writing about it.
Anyway, congrats again, David. And if you need help filling out those 50 seats, we might know somebody…
