Fantastic Fest Proves 'All My Friends Are Vampires'

New PBS doc explores Austin's geekiest film fest

It is our geek Christmas, our nerd Hanukkah, our cinematic Kwanza, our film Festivus. Out of all of Austin's film festivals big and small, Fantastic Fest may be the most bizarre, beloved, and berserk. New doc All My Friends Are Vampires explains why your hardcore genre fan friends are sporting a month-long hangover every September.

The doc debuts this Thursday, Nov. 29, 7:30pm, on the local PBS affiliate as part of the Arts in Context strand. (And speaking of which, did you hear the Arts in Context gang won a Lone Star Emmy earlier this month?)

Will we be watching it, just in case there's a blurry shot of a Chronicler reeling out of a screening or into a bar? Hells yeah we will. If you can't catch the show tomorrow, check here for future screenings.
