Fantastic Returns
Festival faves return with Oscar buzz

If you missed out on all the Fantastic Fest madness (and we still have the scars to testify to the insanity), don't worry: Some of the best of the fest are back on Austin screens this week.
Last week we got the chance to wash up on the shores of Korean crime drama The Yellow Sea, but this week there is a double dose of Fantastic faves. First up there's Brazilian crime drama Elite Squad: The Enemy Within: Then there's Irish feuding/boxing documentary Knuckle, which hit big this year – not least because it lead to the now infamous fisticuffs between Alamo Drafthouse head honcho Tim League and Irish bare knuckle boxing champ James Quinn McDonagh (we even interviewed director Ian Palmer before and after the match.)
But what about Bullhead? Drafthouse Films picked up the Belgian testosterone drama, along with Danish comedy Clown, right after the festival. It's one of the 63 films eligible for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. There are a lot of crossed fingers at Drafthouse Films that it will make the nomination list when it's announced on Jan. 24.
