Austin Couple on VH-1's Wedding Wars
Self-proclaimed "backstabbers" aim to win it all in the name of love.

Just when you thought there couldn't be another twist in wedding reality series, there comes another little series to whoop and holler over.
The new reality series Wedding Wars, not only features several Texas couples, but one from Austin, identified only as Yolanda and Jemol. Look at their sweet little faces? I say, no one should get married before they're 50. But Yolanda and Jemol, along with the 11 other lovebirds didn't ask me. They're heading to the altar, but not before competing for "the wedding of a lifetime" on the new VH-1 series.
Borrowing generously from Survivor (CBS), Wedding Wars is a competition-elimination show, wherein couples are thrown onto a remote island with little food and water, roughing it while competing in challenges, all the while testing their ability to work together through better or worse. Couples vote other couples off the island, assuming no one kills anyone else or falls face first into an open fire.
Here's the background on Yolanda and Jemol from the VH-1 press folk:
"After meeting and serving in the Marines together, this couple of five years is approaching Wedding Wars like they’re on the front lines. They freely admit to being “backstabbers” and plan to bring the competition to a new level. They don’t intend to make friends and warn their competition to “watch your back.” How many lies will they tell to win it big?"
Daaayum!
Wedding Wars premieres Monday, March 14 at 8pm on VH-1.
