Suburban Apocalypse

Spike Jonze's Austin-shot Arcade Fire video released

Remember when Spike Jonze was in town shooting a super-secret video project for Arcade Fire? Super-secret no more: The fruits of that collaboration are now all over the web.

Specifically, it's a music video for the title track off of Arcade Fire's last album, The Suburbs. The video was shot around town and, as the Austin Film Society helpfully points out, in part on the tarmac at Austin Studios. It's unclear if there's a longer cut in the works – rumor was Jonze was planning a thirty-minute short film.
