SXSW Rolls Out Sixth List
Another Friday, another list of acts headed to Austin for South by Southwest. The mega-festival creeps just five weeks away now and today’s list of 126 artist additions – highlighted by Moby Grape great Peter Lewis, raging L.A. power duo Deap Vally, and neo-retro Latin rockers Chicano Batman – brings the running total to roughly 1,303.

ICE Raid in Austin?
UPDATE (Feb. 10): Reports are coming in that ICE raids are taking place around Austin. Immigrant Services Network of Austin is directing those affected to resources and fact sheets from United We Dream and the National Immigration Law Center, as well as a deportation crisis hotline (512-270-1515).

Shirley MacLaine and Sarah Green to Enter Texas Film Hall of Fame
Dust off your party duds. The 2017 Texas Film Awards are coming up on March 9, and the Austin Film Society has just announced the full lineup of honorees. Add actress Shirley MacLaine and producer Sarah Green to the previously announced honorees: filmmakers Jeff Nichols and Hector Galán, and actor Tye Sheridan.
