Upwards of 100,000 people are expected in Austin when the X Games rollerblade through town June 5-8. Homies are going to need some music. Today, organizers announced that Kanye West, the Flaming Lips, and Pretty Lights will headline a 13-act bill that also includes local Gary Clark Jr.
Sounds like an ACL Fest bill, right? Also expected at the Austin360 Amphitheater during the city’s first tango with extreme sports Olympics: Mac Miller, Bad Religion, Dillon Francis, Mayer Hawthorne, and Slightly Stoopid, with an undercard made up of Wavves, Cash Cash, FMLYBND, and Candyland. No schedule’s been announced yet.
In order to see any of the aforementioned, you’ve got to attend the X Games. Tickets for the three-day fest run $89 and go on sale Friday at noon, with reserved seating available for $139. Single day tickets should also be available at $39-$59.
