5 Minutes with the Tontons

On Friday, I dragged Houston fourpiece the Tontons away from their show at Holy Mountain towards a parking garage on Red River and asked them some quick questions in anticipation of their upcoming tour of the southeast. They detailed their fondness for pets, tour preparation tactics, and a couple near-death experiences.

The Tontons also casually mentioned that they might play a certain Austin music festival in November, and now it’s official: The band announced on Facebook Saturday that they’re on the lineup for this year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest, an inclusion that comes thanks to Red Bull’s locally-centric Sound Select program.
