Fun Fun Fun Wields the Tomahawk
New leak adds Mike Patton project, plus first big comedy name

Another Friday, another Fun Fun Fun Fest video leak, and there's double excitement for old school alt.rock fans.
As our own Kevin Curtin announced yesterday, Bob Mould will be ripping through a full set of his debut as Sugar, the mighty Copper Blue, but he's not the only vintage indie innovator signed up. Mike Patton is bringing the recently reformed Tomahawk back (downside: looks like another year for Austin without the equally back together Faith No More). The supergroup is fleshed out by members of The Jesus Lizard, Helmet, and Mevlins Lite, so, well, unmissable.
The festival also sees the return of FFF 2007 veterans Against Me for their first Austin show since Tom Gabel's interview with Rolling Stone about being transgender. So welcome to Austin, Laura Jane Grace.
If the old color coding stands, then it looks like rapper Danny Brown should be lighting up the yellow stage, while David Cross is the first big name for the comedy tent.
This brings the announced lineup to date to:
Against Me!
Atlas Sound
Baroness
Black Moth Super Rainbow
Danny Brown
David Cross
The Head and the Heart
Lagwagon
Bob Mould
Rakim
Starfucker
Tomahawk
Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 runs Nov. 2-4 at Auditorium Shores. All early bird and PIP tickets are sold out, but the regular tickets, price $175, go on sale in July, along with the full lineup release. Visit www.funfunfunfest.com for more news, and we'll have regular updates as well.
Here's the full video announcement.
