Christeene: “FUK V29”

Local scum chanteuse Christeene has issued a new music video for the song “FUK V29.” The gender-ambiguous shock artist appears dirty and bedraggled, writhing around a warehouse while stone-faced onlookers react.

“Diz video and song burns down da fuckin’ box dat society keeps fuggin tryin’ to put my spirit in, tryin’ to poison my pony with rules, regulations, and structures dat turn majic into piles of accessible shit,” remarked Christeene in an official statement.

Indeed, the song’s guitar-driven electro-punk departs from the experimental trash rap that Christeene’s known for.

The video comes courtesy of longtime collaborator PJ Raval, who’s produced eight music clips starring Christeene, a character devised and played by performance artist Paul Soileau. “FUK V29” was shot on 16mm film, which was then scratched for effect. The song itself was produced by local composer Graham Reynolds, who appears in the video at 1:12, doing a David Caruso-style sunglasses tip.

Christeene’s next scheduled Austin appearance is March 20 at Rain on 4th (217 W. Fourth) for the Y'all or Nothing event.
