Where the Girls Go/ATX: The Post-Pride Edition

Yer best queer-grrrl-tastic events this weekend and every weekend

As we pack up the glitter, glowsticks, and strands of baubles and beads; cut off Stargayzer wrist bands, and slide our aGLIFF badges into scrapbooks, Pride Season feels officially put to bed. Lucky for us ATX queers, there's never a lackluster weekend here. You may wish to not pack away that glitter. You're gonna need it.

Friday: Forget the grey. Austin's dandiest drag king troupe invites you to get 50 shades of gay tonight. Are you up to the challenge? From the naughty to the tasty – pie-eating contest anyone? – KNT takes their drag game up a notch for a new season of surprise titillation.

Suggestion: Door admission is $2 cheaper with a costume. Get into the Halloween spirit a bit early, and doll up, dolls.

Saturday: Get into the New York groove tonight at Vulcan Gay Company. NYC's Jacques Renault offers up classic violin-meets-house-meets-disco to a dance party that's sure to infect the crowd with movement. Austin's very own Flying Turns will help him set the stage.

Suggestion: Before heading to Sixth, swing behind Jo's Coffee to party with Lady Parts Texas and Whole Women's Health as they celebrate and raise some capital for V to Shining V. Yup – the only V that's frequently threatened in elections.

Sunday: Revel in some lady-loving musicians today as Susan Arbuckle and Nancy Scott take over Bookwoman with their Fall Equinox Show.

Suggestion: Let yourself get swept up in autumn with these ladies, just pack a $10 suggested donation. You'll be rewarded in so many ways.

Thanks for reading, parading, and dancing with us Wednesday night. As always, you can get even more homolicious deets on the Gay Place, and celebrate each and every #WCW with us at Where The Girls Go/ATX. Trust us - ya don't wanna miss out on our Halloween extravaGayza.
