Mo' ’Mo Music: The Return of Girl Talk

The mash-up maestro returns with a new album.

Mo' ’Mo Music: The Return of Girl Talk

Girl Talk has released his latest epic mash-up album All Day and you can download it now for free.

If you like what you hear you can check out his live show/dance party when he hits Austin Music Hall on January 14. Tickets are availablehere.

What's not to like about Girl Talk? His mixes have something to satisfy the most casual music fan and the guys in High Fidelity. All those horrible songs on the radio are distilled into tolerable nuggets. When they work, the juxtapositions can be thrilling or hilarious. I think of his work sort of as large audio puzzles meant to stimulate your brain and keep you sharp. Making a game out of his music is both fun and educational. Want to really find out which one of your friends knows the most about music? Girl Talk and a piece of paper! It's educational! (He should throw more Pixies into his stuff.) Not to mention the technical proficiency, work, and patience it must take to record mash-ups this intricate. Anyway, only a real sourpuss doesn't like at least a li'l Girl Talk. Yeah, I said it! Thoughts?
