In disappointing news for fans of their curated cookbook, barware, and knife selection, Todd Duplechan and Jessica Maher of Métier Cook’s Supply have decided to shutter their three-year-old specialty shop to focus on their restaurant Lenoir next door.

In a newsletter, Maher said, “After three wonderful years, Todd and I have decided to close Métier. Though we have loved curating it and the sharing and learning from all of our wonderful customers, ultimately our restaurant Lenoir, our staff and our family have always been at the center of our hearts. Interest and demand at the restaurant have increased in the three years we've been operating both businesses, and we're now at a point where we feel it would be in our best interest to focus our attention on its growth.”

In recent months, Duplechan has also been collaborating on projects ranging from the second coming of J.T. Youngblood's in Mueller to the as-yet-unnamed project with Stiles Switch BBQ & Brew in Dripping Springs. In the newsletter, Maher intimated that Métier space will be eventually under the Lenoir umbrella.

Starting today, the store will begin selling off their stock of chef apparel, vintage cookware, and more at a discount. The last day of business has yet to be announced.
