Admit it. You bought a pair of shortalls last summer because they were only $35 at H&M and, besides, you remember Kelly Kapowski always looking great in them. Never mind that you look more like Screech. Or that you have nowhere to wear them besides the occasional day show at Stubb's. If Taylor Swift can wear them, so can you.
We at the Chronicle food desk may not be fashion mavens, but we do like to support our readers. So here's a style tip so those shortalls don't go to waste. Wear them with some beat-up Ropers to the East Austin Urban Farm Tour, Farmhouse Delivery's annual event benefiting the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance.
The yearly crawl through four Eastside farms features an all-star lineup of culinary talent and beverage artisans, and is one of the least expensive ways to sample all that Austin's food community has to offer in one day. Just select a ticket starting the tour at either Rain Lily Farm, Boggy Creek Farm, Hausbar Farm and Guesthaus, or Springdale Farm and enjoy a beautiful spring day. (Note: A "sold out" note by one of the farms does not mean the tour is sold out, just that the starting farm location is booked.)
Here's your guide to this year's talent.
