Bribery Bakery Coming to Mueller
Jodi Elliott announces plans for new dessert lounge

When pastry chef and restaurateur Jodi Elliott opened Bribery Bakery in Pflugerville earlier this year, her long-range plans already included another outlet for a dessert lounge concept. That concept is set to become a reality in the Mueller development later this year.
Bribery Bakery (2013 W. Wells Branch Pkwy. #109) opened in March and the response from the surrounding neighborhood has been very enthusiastic. Elliott is also seeing that many of the loyal clients from her always sold-out bake sales at Foreign & Domestic (306 E. 53rd) are shopping at the new bakery.
Elliott sold her share of the restaurant to former husband Ned Elliott a couple of years ago in order to pursue her own dreams of opening a full service bakery as well as a dessert lounge. Luckily for her, the first Bribery location in a suburban shopping center came equipped with a large kitchen that will serve as a commissary for both outlets.
“The thing I liked best about this space is that the big kitchen and finishing area give us plenty of room to grow and expand the business," Jodi told us during a tour of the first Bribery location in March. "It's been a challenge getting accustomed to working with plenty of space after all that time in the tiny kitchen at Foreign & Domestic, but we're loving it. We'll be able to do all the baking and packaging for both locations from here.”
The second Bribery outlet will be located in the AMLI Mueller development when it opens later this year and Jodi is currently raising funds for the project here. The new spot will provide the Mueller neighborhood with an artisan bakery during the day and then become a chic dessert lounge in the evenings, featuring sophisticated plated desserts, a selection of sharable savory plates, plus wine, craft beer, and cocktails designed to complement both sweet and savory offerings. No doubt it will be every bit as popular as its Pflugerville sibling.
