Food-based employment website streamlines hiring process

Not dissimilar from finding a good job in the Austin food industry, everyone has a nifty trick for mastering a perfectly poached egg.
According to TXP’s most recent economic impact analysis of Austin’s food sector, there are almost 100,000 food-related jobs in Austin. It comes as no surprise then that an innovative solution exists to find the best and the brightest for Austin’s thriving restaurants.
Marketed as “jobs for the food and drink industry,” the food-based employment website Poached streamlines the process from applicants looking for restaurant positions to those making the hiring decisions. While limited to main culinary centers, the graphic interface is more visually appealing than many “typical” career search websites. Poached is particularly easy to navigate and divides jobs into areas of experience. This way, rather than digging through a long intermingled list, applicants are not inundated with outdated or potentially irrelevant job posts. Additionally, applicants can house résumés on the site for a more efficient way to apply for open positions.
Poached caters to a diverse list of restaurants as well as positions, servicing restaurants such as Uchi and Uchiko, Sway and La Condesa, Second Bar + Kitchen, Snack Bar, Vespaio, and Lenoir. With a mobile app in the works, Poached is the new trick of the trade.
